Just last week, U.S. Rep. Mike Lawler, a Republican who represents New York’s 17th Congressional District, announced that his office had secured $2 million grant for the town through the federal Community Project Funding program.

Nearly $36 million of federal funds are bound for projects in the Hudson Valley following the passage of the House appropriations package on Wednesday. The funds were secured by Congressman Mike Lawler (R, NY-17) and will be distributed to communities across Rockland, Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties.
