Pearl River, NY… Today, Congressman Lawler slammed Kathy Hochul and New York Democrats for embracing a far-left socialist for NYC Mayor. Congressman Lawler calls on them to immediately clarify if they endorse Zohran Mamdani and his policies, including:
- Defunding The Police
- A Socialist New York
- Elimination of Cash Bail
- Legalize Prostitution
- Supporting the BDS Movement
- Raising Taxes on Businesses
- City Run Grocery Stores
“Last night, Kathy Hochul and New York Democrats embraced the absolute worst of their party. A radical, antisemitic socialist was just elected to be the Democratic candidate for mayor of New York City – and Kathy Hochul didn’t lift a finger to stop it from happening. On Kathy’s watch, millions of hard-working taxpayers have fled New York State, and now the exodus will begin from New York City as Zohran Mamdani runs it into the ground,” stated Congressman Lawler.
“A self-avowed socialist who wants to defund the police, globalize the intifada, and tax people into oblivion is poised to become New York City’s next mayor, all because of Kathy Hochul’s gross incompetence. The only way we can stop it from happening is by rallying around the Republican candidate for Mayor – Curtis Sliwa. His long record of service to the city of New York is a far cry from Zohran’s trust fund upbringing, and Curtis will serve the people of New York with dignity and respect, regardless of their race, religion, background, or creed,” continued Congressman Lawler.
“And make no mistake – Kathy Hochul and NY Democrats will pay the price for this insanity at the ballot box next November, when we elect our first Republican Governor since George Pataki. I call on Kathy Hochul and all New York Democrats to immediately state if they endorse Zohran Mamdani for NYC Mayor, and all the radical socialist policies he has endorsed on his campaign,” concluded Congressman Lawler.
